6/12: Weekly Update

6/12: Weekly Update

We did it! We successfully closed out the 2019-20 school-year and what a year it was! Our abrupt transition into remote learning changed our educational philosophy and systems. Together we were able to adapt and continue our learning for the year within a new environment of norms. Your response was remarkable and we truly would not have been successful without your efforts and support.  We are proud to be a part of the Windham community!  Please see below for a few additional updates.

Building Hours- Effective Wednesday, June 17th, all district buildings will be open Monday-Friday between the hours of 8 am-12 pm.  Visitors that need to access the buildings must wear a mask or face covering to enter the building.  Scheduled appointments are preferable. Please call the building’s main office directly to set-up a time to come in.

Remediation days: Students that need the additional remediation days may keep their devices and use the remaining day (June 15th) to complete work. Please notify your teacher(s) directly if your student needs the additional day of remediation.

Guide to access grades, K-8: If you need a refresher on how to access your student's grades in UnifiedClassroom, please see the how-to guide for step by step instructions.

Nutrition Services- We will continue to offer our pick-up meal service every Monday & Wednesday until June 30th! If you are interested in ordering, please fill out our form: https://bit.ly/2yt9GOT. If you need nutritional services throughout the summer, beginning July 1st you can use the Summer Meals link to find meal sites near you. Here are the menus for the rest of the month:

Windham School District Remote Summer Camps: We will be offering various remote summer camps for students weekly from July 6th through August 7th!  http://sites.windhamsd.org/summercamp/ Registration is currently open and new offerings are being added.  Contact information is listed on the site if you have any questions.

We hope you all stay safe, have fun, and enjoy your summer break!

Thank you,
